I feel like in the context of my life right now I am going through some major character building times. (I don’t really know how to put it.) All around me seems to be out of place and me being this weird people pleaser and peace maker…I feel this uneasiness.
And I confess that some of that is healthy and some of that is out of proportion. And it is good and I am fumbling and learning through it. And I know we will never arrive on this side of heaven and sometimes on this side it is a step by step journey. And none of us is to weak to be made more than a conquerors. “But they (those who are more than conquerors) won through, step by step; by little acts of will, little denials of self, little inward victories; by faithfulness in very little things they became what they are. No one sees these little hidden steps, they only see the accomplishments; but even so, those small steps were taken. There is no sudden triumph, no spiritual maturity that is the work of a moment.” AC
More importantly what the Lord has been driving home in my heart is that everything He does is out of love. So all the sticky stuff in life is somehow out of love. It is just radically changing me head and heart.
“Let us be content with our Lord’s will, and tell Him so, and not disappoint Him by wishing for anything He does not give.
